In JJ Gregg’s new album, ‘re-cycling,’ (August 2022) is an exploration of interconnectedness both sonically and in the natural world. This album features exploratory solo sitar, playful duets with tabla player Pavan Kanekal, and an experimental track that will make your head spin.

‘Underground Networks’ sounds like a bright orange sun rising on a day already alive with heat shimmering on the horizon. Elsewhere, the staccato notes of ‘surface tension’ seem to set the song apart from the traditional Indian ragas I’ve heard – a lovely surprise.
